Virtual reality is already transforming entertainment, but the real potential lies in creating immersive travel experiences. What I envision is combining high-resolution 360-degree imaging with real-time environmental data, like temperature and humidity sensors, to simulate physical sensations. We could integrate haptic feedback systems into VR headsets, so when you’re walking through a virtual rainforest, you feel the humidity and hear the wildlife as if you were actually there. The challenge will be combining these sensory inputs into a coherent, low-latency experience. However, as VR hardware becomes more sophisticated and network speeds increase, this could be the future of virtual tourism.
