Clean drinking water is a global challenge, and graphene could be the solution. I’m working on a concept for a portable water purifier that uses graphene oxide membranes to filter out impurities at the molecular level. Graphene’s unique properties allow it to filter out bacteria, viruses, and even heavy metals with incredible efficiency. By integrating this with a rechargeable battery and solar panels, the device could be used in remote areas or during natural disasters. The biggest hurdle would be scaling up graphene production to make these devices affordable, but the potential impact on global health is immense.
